ASSISTANT PASTOR, CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
The Assistant Pastor, Children’s Ministry will provide a spiritually nurturing and safe environment for families and children from infant to fifth grade for three services a week working within a Biblical and Godly family structure. The candidate will build and oversee volunteer teams and will recruit, train and raise up leaders in the Children’s program, and be accountable and in compliance with the Child Safety Program. Will oversee/manage budgeting, curriculum planning, event planning and other activities.
Should enjoy working with young children, parents, and volunteers. Individual must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Computer and general office equipment skills are required; should be proficient with Outlook, Word, and Excel. Should be skillful in written and verbal communication, and have strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of personalities.
Must be born again and have the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. A Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education with emphasis in early childhood ministry, or related field of study, or equivalent combined experience required. 2-3 years’ experience within a church as a Children’s Pastor preferred. Salary range is $37,000-$52,000 per year, plus benefit package.
